Watch your words chica!

kids n twitterJust a little something to think about……our words have creative power, shaping lives and destinies. My Three year old is the “watch your words cop” in our family. If anyone (including me) says anything questionable…. He says in the cutest way ever: “oooooh, she said a bad wooooorrrd”. I keep being reminded that people are listening… to everything. My words are so important. If my little guy is listening and it is effecting him, just think of what others are learning about our life, our families, our church, our God…..

We need to pay attention to what is coming out of our mouth…. our words are powerful and they have creative power.

GOD spoke the world into existence. See Gen. 1 Just one word can change an atmosphere.

What are we speaking over our lives, our families, our future? What we speak reproduces itself in others.

Our words are life and death, they bless or curse.

“out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks” What goes on in your heart matters…. It eventually comes out your mouth and creates life or death in situations and people.

The Word of God is what transforms our mind and our heart…. so its time we begin to speak the word of God over our lives and hearts instead of all that negative stuff – We need to speak the Word of God – not just reading it but speaking it out loud- declaring what the word says.

My challenge to you:

test this –  Find 10 faith filled scriptures that you love…. Quote them – speak them out loud over and over again into your situations and just watch what God will do.

Lets change the atmosphere of our homes….open up the word and speak life & faith into your future!

45 A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart.

Hebrews 4:12 New International Version (©2011)
For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
